How to use the Watermark Tool

  1. 1Drop the photos you want to protect: up to 200 JPG, PNG, WebP or HEIC files.
  2. 2Choose Text or Logo, then type your shop name or upload a transparent PNG of your logo.
  3. 3Pick one of the 9 positions or Tiled, and set opacity, size, margin and rotation.
  4. 4Check the live preview, then download each image or grab everything as a ZIP.

Protect product photos with a text or logo watermark

You spend an afternoon shooting a product, editing it and getting the white balance right. Two weeks later the same photo is on a competitor's Daraz listing, a dropshipping store and a Facebook ad. The Watermark Tool is the quickest way to make that harder: it stamps your shop name or logo across every photo in a batch, with the same position and opacity on each one, and hands you a ZIP.

How it works

  1. Drop your photos into the upload area. The tool accepts JPG, PNG, WebP and HEIC, so phone shots work without converting first.
  2. Choose Text and type your brand name, or choose Logo and upload a transparent PNG. Text watermarks can use any of the bundled fonts, including Inter, Montserrat, Oswald, Anton and Playfair Display, with an optional outline so they stay readable on both light and dark areas.
  3. Pick a position from the 3Γ—3 grid (top-left, centre, bottom-right and so on) or switch to Tiled, which repeats the mark diagonally across the whole frame.
  4. Adjust opacity, size (a percentage of the shorter side, so it scales correctly on mixed portrait and landscape images), margin and rotation.
  5. Download each result, or click Download all as ZIP.

Every setting applies to the whole batch, so 150 product photos take a few seconds rather than an afternoon in Photoshop.

Why it matters: where watermarks are allowed

A watermark is a deterrent, not a legal shield, and marketplaces disagree about it. Before you add a watermark to photos destined for a listing, check the rule for that slot:

MarketplaceMain imageOther images
AmazonNo text, logos or watermarksAllowed, keep it discreet
eBayNo added text or watermarksSame rule on every photo
DarazNo watermarks or promo textSame rule on every photo
TikTok ShopNo text overlays on the first imageAllowed
Etsy and ShopifyAllowedAllowed

In practice that means: keep a clean, unmarked master for Amazon, eBay and Daraz main images, and use the watermarked copies for your own website, Etsy, Instagram, Pinterest and secondary Amazon lifestyle shots. See the full rules in the Amazon requirements guide and the eBay picture guide.

Tips for a watermark that protects without ruining the photo

  • Opacity 25 to 40 percent is enough to identify you while leaving the product visible. Go lower, around 15 to 20 percent, for tiled mode.
  • Size 10 to 15 percent of the shorter side for a logo; a little larger for short text.
  • Rotate tiled marks 30 to 45 degrees so they cross product edges and are harder to clone out.
  • Run the Bulk Image Resizer first so every photo shares one size; the margin and size percentages then land in the same spot on each image.
  • Need a caption rather than a mark? Use the Text on Image / Caption Tool for slogans and prices, and Add Border / Frame for a branded edge.

Private by design

This bulk watermark tool runs entirely in your browser using the Canvas API and a Web Worker pool. Your images never leave your browser: there is no upload, no account, and nothing is stored once you close the tab. That also makes it fast, because there is no waiting for a server round trip on 100 MB of photos.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use my logo instead of text?

Yes. Switch to Logo mode and upload a PNG with a transparent background. The logo is scaled as a percentage of the photo's shorter side, so it stays proportional across portrait and landscape images, and you can lower its opacity so it reads as a light stamp rather than a sticker.

Is a watermark allowed on Amazon product images?

Not on the main image. Amazon forbids text, logos, watermarks and borders on the first image, and eBay and Daraz apply a similar rule to every listing photo. Secondary Amazon images, Etsy, Shopify and social posts are fine. Keep an unmarked master for marketplaces and watermark the copies you publish elsewhere.

What does Tiled mode do?

Tiled repeats your text or logo in a diagonal pattern over the whole image, the way stock photo sites do. It is harder to crop or clone out than a single corner mark. Use a low opacity of around 15 to 20 percent and a 30 to 45 degree rotation so it crosses the product without hiding it.

Can I watermark many photos at once?

Yes, this is a bulk watermark tool. Drop up to 200 photos, set the position, opacity and size once, and every image is processed with identical settings. Download them individually or as a single ZIP. Settings are re-applied automatically when you change a slider, so you can tune the look on the whole batch.

Will the watermark reduce image quality?

The pixels under the mark are blended, but the rest of the photo is untouched. You choose the output format: PNG keeps everything lossless, while JPG at the default quality is visually identical for photos and produces much smaller files. Resolution is never reduced unless you resize separately.
