Privacy policy

The short version
- Your images never leave your device. All processing happens in your browser. We do not have a server that receives files.
- We do not require an account and do not ask for personal information to use any tool.
- We may use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics and advertising in the future; if we do, this page will be updated first.
Files you process
When you use a tool, files are read by JavaScript running in your browser and processed with the Canvas API, Web Workers and, for AI tools, models that run locally on your device. Results are generated in memory and offered as downloads. Nothing is transmitted to Toolbase or any third party. Closing the tab discards everything.
Model and asset downloads
AI tools download model files (for example the background-removal or OCR model) from this website's own domain. Your browser may cache those files using a service worker so they are not downloaded again. These downloads contain no information about you or your images.
Local storage
Some tools remember your last-used settings (such as a preferred output format) in your browser's local storage. This data stays on your device and can be cleared through your browser settings.
Server logs
Like any website, our hosting provider records standard access logs (IP address, user agent, requested page, timestamp) for security and capacity planning. These logs are not linked to any image content and are deleted on a rolling basis.
Advertising and analytics
Toolbase is free and may display advertisements in clearly marked slots. If third-party advertising (such as Google AdSense) is enabled, that provider may use cookies as described in its own privacy policy, and a consent banner will be shown where required by law. Advertising scripts never have access to the images you process, which exist only in your browser's memory.
Children
Toolbase does not knowingly collect any information from children.
