  2. 2Choose A4, Letter or Fit to image, plus orientation, margins and quality.
  3. 3Click Create PDF and download one file.

  5. 5Click Convert and download the pages as a ZIP.

Combine images into a PDF, or turn a PDF back into images

Sellers move between the two formats constantly. A supplier sends product shots as twelve JPGs and the brand registry wants one PDF; a customer buys a printable from your Etsy shop and expects a PDF, not a folder of PNGs; a shipping label arrives as a PDF but the label printer app only takes images. Image to PDF / PDF to Images works in both directions, with page size, margin and quality control, and no upload.

How it works

Images to PDF

  1. Drop JPG, PNG, WebP or HEIC files. Drag the thumbnails into order; each image becomes one page.
  2. Pick a page size: A4 (210×297 mm), Letter (8.5×11 in) or Fit to image, which makes each page exactly the image's size so nothing is scaled.
  3. Set orientation (portrait, landscape or auto per image), margins in millimetres, and JPEG quality for the embedded images.
  4. Click Create PDF and download one file.

PDF to images

  1. Drop a PDF. Pages are rendered in the browser with PDF.js.
  2. Choose JPG or PNG and a resolution: 72 DPI for previews, 150 DPI for screens, 300 DPI for print.
  3. Select all pages or a range, click Convert, and download a ZIP with page-01.jpg, page-02.jpg and so on.

Why it matters

  • A4 at 300 DPI is 2480×3508 px. Rendering a PDF page at 72 DPI gives only 595×842 px, fine for a thumbnail but blurry on a listing. Choose the DPI to match the destination.
  • Etsy digital downloads allow up to five files of 20 MB each per listing, and buyers overwhelmingly expect PDFs for printables, planners and patterns. Combining PNG artwork into one PDF at 90% quality usually lands a 10-page planner between 3 and 8 MB.
  • Amazon brand approval, Shopify payment verification and Daraz seller onboarding all ask for invoices and certificates as a single PDF. Ten photographed invoices become one document in seconds.
  • Fit to image with zero margins is the right setting for print-on-demand artwork, where a 3000×3000 px design must reach the printer at its exact pixel size.

Tips

  • Compress large photos before combining them with the Bulk Image Compressor; a 20-page PDF of 5 MB camera photos becomes 100 MB otherwise.
  • Use PNG output when converting a PDF with sharp text or line art; JPG output is smaller for photographic pages.
  • Straighten and clean document photos in the Document Scanner first so every page is a proper rectangle.
  • Extract text from the resulting page images with Image to Text (OCR).
  • Making a sheet of passport photos rather than a document? The Passport Photo Print Sheet lays them out on 4×6 or A4 for you.

Privacy

Your images never leave your browser. PDFs are assembled with a client-side library and PDF pages are rendered by PDF.js on your own device, so contracts, IDs and unreleased artwork stay private.

Frequently asked questions

How do I combine many JPGs into one PDF?

Drop all the images, drag them into order, choose A4, Letter or Fit to image, set margins and quality, and click Create PDF. Each image becomes one page. A 10-page document made from phone photos usually ends up between 2 and 6 MB at 85% quality.

What DPI should I use for PDF to JPG?

72 DPI for thumbnails and previews (595×842 px for A4), 150 DPI for on-screen reading, and 300 DPI (2480×3508 px for A4) for printing or OCR. Higher DPI means larger files; a 300 DPI colour page is often 1 to 2 MB as JPG.

Should I choose JPG or PNG for PDF pages?

JPG for photographic pages and scanned documents, where it is much smaller. PNG for pages with sharp text, diagrams, line art or transparent areas, where JPG compression leaves visible artefacts around edges. Both keep the DPI you select.

Is there a limit on file size or page count?

The tool runs in your browser, so the limit is your device's memory. Documents of 50 to 100 pages work on a normal laptop; very large PDFs at 300 DPI may need converting in page ranges. Compress photos first to keep the PDF manageable.

What page size should an Etsy printable be?

Match the paper your buyers print on: Letter (8.5×11 in) for the US, A4 (210×297 mm) for most other countries, or offer both. Use Fit to image with zero margins when the artwork is already sized to the page at 300 DPI.
