Turn a phone photo into a clean scan

Marketplaces keep asking for documents: a CNIC or passport page for Daraz seller verification, a utility bill and bank statement for Amazon identity checks, a signed invoice for brand approval, a customs declaration for a shipment. A phone photo of the paper is skewed, grey, and shows the table underneath. The Document Scanner finds the page edges, straightens the perspective, cleans up the lighting and gives you a scanned PDF from a photo that looks like it came from a flatbed.

How it works

1. Drop one or more photos of pages. Several pages become one multi-page PDF in the order you add them.
2. The tool detects the four corners of the document automatically. If it misses, drag any corner handle on the preview; a magnifier shows the exact edge under your finger.
3. Click Straighten. The perspective is corrected so the page becomes a true rectangle at its real proportions, for example A4 at 210 by 297 mm.
4. Choose a filter: Enhanced boosts contrast and neutralises the colour cast while keeping colour, Greyscale drops colour, and Black and white thresholds the page to pure text on white, the smallest and most legible option for forms.
5. Export as a PDF (one file for all pages) or as individual JPGs, and download.

Why it matters

• A 12 MP phone photo is around 4000×3000 px, more than the 2480×3508 px an A4 page needs at 300 DPI, so the straightened output keeps print quality.
• The same page as an original photo is 3 to 5 MB; the black and white scan is usually 150 to 400 KB, which fits the upload limits most seller portals impose on identity documents.
• Amazon, Etsy and TikTok Shop verification reviewers reject unreadable or cropped documents, and a resubmission can delay activation by days. All four corners and all edges must be visible; the corner handles make that easy to confirm.
• Straightened pages are what OCR needs. Skewed text is the most common reason text extraction fails.

Tips

• Photograph on a dark, plain surface; corner detection is most reliable when the page contrasts with the background.
• Shoot from directly above with the whole page in frame and a little margin around it. Shadows from your hand or phone are the main thing the filters have to fight.
• Keep colour for anything with a stamp, hologram or coloured ink; verification teams sometimes ask for colour copies.
• Combine scans with other files, or change page size and margins, in Image to PDF / PDF to Images.
• Need the text itself? Run the clean scan through Image to Text (OCR). To lift a signature off a page onto a transparent background, use the Signature Background Remover. If a portal has a strict KB cap, finish with the Photo Size Reducer to Exact KB.

Your images never leave your browser. Corner detection, perspective correction and filtering all run on your own device, so identity documents, bank statements and contracts are never uploaded to any server.
