Daraz Product Image Guidelines (Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal)

Daraz image requirements: 1000×1000 to 3000×3000 square, white background, under 3 MB, no watermarks — with a free workflow to fix rejected uploads.

Daraz runs the largest marketplaces in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Myanmar, and every new product passes a quality check in Daraz Seller Center before it goes live. Images are the biggest reason listings sit in Pending QC or come back Rejected. Most sellers shoot on a phone, and phone photos break the rules in predictable ways: 4:3 instead of square, 4 to 6 MB instead of under 3 MB, and a beige bedsheet or yellow kitchen light where Daraz wants pure white. Below: every rule, plus a free five-minute workflow to fix a whole batch.

Daraz product image requirements

The rules are the same across daraz.pk, daraz.com.bd, daraz.lk, daraz.com.np and Daraz Myanmar. Daraz updates them without much notice, so as of 2026, verify in the official Daraz Seller Center help pages before relying on a borderline number.

  • Aspect ratio: square, 1:1. Anything else gets cropped or rejected.
  • Size: minimum 330 × 330 px, recommended 1000 × 1000 px, maximum 3000 × 3000 px.
  • File size: maximum 3 MB per image.
  • Formats: JPG or PNG. HEIC from iPhones is not accepted.
  • Background: pure white on the main image, product filling most of the frame.
  • No watermarks, phone or WhatsApp numbers, promotional text, logos or borders.
  • Image count: up to 8 images per product; the first is the thumbnail in search and category pages.
  • Variants: each colour or size SKU needs its own image under the same rules.

Daraz image sizes compared

| Image | Size | Ratio | Max file | Format | Best for | | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | | Product image, recommended | 1000 × 1000 px | 1:1 | 3 MB | JPG | Every listing; sharp on phones, small files | | Product image, high detail | 2000 × 2000 px | 1:1 | 3 MB | JPG | Fabric, jewellery, electronics with fine detail | | Product image, maximum | 3000 × 3000 px | 1:1 | 3 MB | JPG | Only when quality can be kept under 3 MB | | Minimum accepted | 330 × 330 px | 1:1 | 3 MB | JPG or PNG | Avoid; looks blurry on zoom | | Store banner | 1920 × 450 px | 64:15 | 3 MB | JPG | Shop decoration header |

1000 × 1000 is the right target for almost everyone: a JPEG at quality 90 is roughly 150 to 400 KB and loads fast on the mobile connections many Daraz buyers use.

Why Daraz rejects images in Seller Center

When QC fails, Seller Center shows a short reason under the product. The usual ones:

  • Image size does not meet requirement: not square, under 330 px, over 3000 px, or over 3 MB. A default 12 MP phone photo is 4000 × 3000 px and 4 to 6 MB, failing on three counts at once.
  • White background required: the main image was shot on a table, bed, floor or wall. Even a white wall in low light comes out grey or yellow, which is not white to the reviewer.
  • Watermark, contact number or promotional text: a WhatsApp number, "Free delivery", a shop logo or a price sticker.
  • Blurry or low quality image: low-light noise, motion blur, digital zoom or a supplier screenshot.
  • Product not clearly visible: tiny in the frame, cut off at the edge, or hidden by hands and packaging.
  • Image mismatch: a different colour, model or bundle than the title and variant.
  • Duplicate images: the same photo uploaded into several of the 8 slots.

Shooting better phone photos for Daraz

The fix is cheaper than a lightbox. Shoot next to a window in daylight, never under a ceiling bulb. Put white A4 sheets or a white poster board under and behind the product. Hold the phone at product level, tap to focus and lock exposure, and step closer rather than zooming. Take one clean front shot for the thumbnail, then angles, close-ups, label and packaging.

Step-by-step: from phone gallery to Daraz-ready in five minutes

Every tool here runs in your browser and nothing is uploaded, so 50 phone photos process on your own device in seconds.

  1. Convert HEIC to JPG. iPhone shooters: drop the files into the Image Format Converter and choose JPG, because Daraz does not accept HEIC.
  2. Audit the batch. Load everything into the Image Dimension and Size Checker with the Daraz rule set. It marks each file pass or fail on ratio, pixels, file size and format.
  3. Fix light and colour. Run the batch through the Photo Enhancer with auto levels and white balance to remove the yellow cast of indoor lighting and lift dark shadows.
  4. Make the background white. Put the main photo through the Background Remover with white output. The on-device AI cuts around the product and fills the rest with pure white.
  5. Square and resize. Open the Marketplace Preset Resizer, pick Daraz and the "Product image 1000 × 1000 (white)" preset. It pads to a square on white instead of cropping. For lifestyle shots that keep their background, the Square Image Maker pads with a blurred fill.
  6. Get under 3 MB. If you resized to 3000 × 3000 or kept PNG, use the Photo Size Reducer to Exact KB with a target such as 800 KB, or the Bulk Image Compressor for a whole folder.
  7. Strip metadata. The EXIF / Metadata Remover drops GPS and camera data and trims a few kilobytes.
  8. Upload in order. Slot 1 is the white-background hero; slots 2 to 8 are angles, a material close-up, the product in use, a scale reference, packaging and the label.

Common Daraz image mistakes

  • Uploading straight from the phone gallery. 4:3, 4 MB, yellow light: three rejections in one file.
  • Using off-white. Cream or light grey looks white on your phone but not to QC.
  • Putting a WhatsApp number or "Free delivery" on the thumbnail. Use the description and Daraz vouchers instead.
  • Copying supplier images from AliExpress or Google: small, watermarked and often mismatched.
  • Filling all 8 slots with the same angle. Variety cuts returns and buyer questions.
  • Ignoring the Daraz platform page, which lists every Daraz preset and tool.

Daraz image guidelines FAQ

What image size does Daraz require?

Square images between 330 × 330 px and 3000 × 3000 px, with 1000 × 1000 px recommended, in JPG or PNG under 3 MB. The main image must have a white background and no text or watermarks. Up to 8 images per product; the first is the thumbnail.

Why does Daraz keep rejecting my product images?

The usual causes are a non-square or oversized phone photo, a background that is not pure white, and text or contact numbers on the image. Run the batch through the workflow above; for a mismatch reason, compare the images against the title, colour and variant.

Can I use a coloured background on Daraz?

Not on the main image, which must be on white so category pages look consistent. Images 2 to 8 can show the product in a lifestyle setting or on a coloured backdrop, as long as they are square, under 3 MB and free of text and watermarks.

How do I reduce a photo to under 3 MB for Daraz?

Resize it to 1000 × 1000 px first, which alone drops most phone photos under 500 KB. If a file is still too large, use the Photo Size Reducer with a target such as 1000 KB, and save as JPG rather than PNG.
