Convert HEIC, WebP, PNG and BMP into formats marketplaces accept

iPhones save photos as HEIC, screenshots and supplier downloads arrive as WebP, and design exports are PNG. Then the uploader says "unsupported format", or a transparent PNG turns into a photo with a black background. The Image Format Converter changes any of those into JPG, PNG or WebP in bulk, right in the browser, with a background colour of your choice under transparent areas.

How it works

HEIC is decoded by a decoder bundled with the site, SVG is rasterised at its native size, and animated GIFs are converted using the first frame. The conversion itself is a canvas re-encode, so colours and dimensions are preserved.

Which formats each marketplace accepts

JPG is the only format on every list, which is why heic to jpg and webp to jpg are the two conversions sellers run most. Shopify is the only one that takes HEIC directly, and even there a JPG is safer for third-party apps and marketplace feeds.

Why it matters

• Rejected uploads. Daraz accepts only JPEG and PNG; Amazon and Etsy will not take WebP. A single wrong file can stall a bulk listing flat file.
• Black or grey backgrounds. JPG has no alpha channel. Convert a transparent PNG without choosing a background and the transparent pixels become black in many tools. Here the default fill is white, which is exactly what Amazon, Daraz and TikTok Shop main images need.
• File size. A 12-megapixel HEIC is about 2 MB; the same photo as JPG at 90% is 3–4 MB, so plan to compress afterwards if a cap applies.
• Compatibility beyond marketplaces. Print shops, email clients and older CMS uploaders still expect JPG or PNG.

Tips

• Choose JPG for photographs, PNG for logos, graphics and anything that must keep transparency, and WebP for images served on your own site.
• Convert png to jpg with a white fill for marketplace main images; use a grey or brand-colour fill only for secondary and lifestyle images.
• Keep quality at 90 or above when the JPG will be edited again later; every re-save loses a little detail.
